  • August 2007 - Charles Dodsley Walker Award, given each summer to an apprentice at the Berkshire Choral Festival for outstanding musical contributions and for embodying the spirit of the organization.
  • 2007 - Hugh Giles Prize from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, awarded to the student who has most clearly demonstrated interest, perseverance and achievement during the first year of study.

  • 2007 Winner - Allen E. Ostrander Trombone Composition Prize, given by the Ithaca College Trombone Troupe for How solemn, as one by one... - Premiere performance at Penn State University, University Park, PA in April 2007 and publishing by Lyceum Press.
  • 2006 Winner - Raymond W. Brock Memorial Student Composition Prize - for The Soul's Passing - Performance at the ACDA National Convention March 2007 in Miami, FL.
  • 2006-2007 - Winner - Cantate Chamber Singers Young Composer's Competition - for Cantate Domino. Premiere performance March 2007 by the CCS in Chevy Chase, MD.

Commissions
  • Apr 2007 - Commissioned by the University Church at Yale to write an anthem for the Battell Chapel Choir in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the University Church at Yale University.
  • Oct 2007 - Commissioned by the Yale Institute of Sacred Music to write a new hymn for the Eucharist inaugurating the installation of the new Taylor and Boody Op. 55 meantone organ in Marquand Chapel.  On a text of Thomas H. Troeger.
