I conduct a program exploring the evocative nature of "night" with the Lone Star College-Montgomery Choirs, featuring music of Brahms, Wilbye, Lauridsen and my own Say On, Sayers! Also featuring the String Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Burrell, and faculty soprano Lisa Borik.

12th Annual Invitational School Choral Festival
Join the Houston Chamber Choir as they welcome three extraordinary choirs: The Rice School Elementary Honors Choir, Holly Holt Cabrera, director; the Spring Oaks Middle School Choir, Gregory Morgan and Julia Mays, directors; and the Bellaire High School Choir, Amy Solberg, director. The HCC will premiere A dome of many-coloured glass, my cantata-concerto for mixed chorus, soprano, and marimba on texts of Amy Lowell. Free--no ticket is required!

Opening Concert Celebration
The Lone Star College-Montgomery Music Department starts a new chapter in its history with the opening of the New Music Hall. This state-of-the-art new facility houses a 175-seat recital hall with acoustical design by noted firm JaffeHolden. This special concert will feature the college's diverse ensembles, faculty artists, and student performers, as well as the premiere of my new work for mixed chorus and trumpet.

LSC-M Chamber Singers Tour to Austin, TX
I direct the Chamber Singers in a special home concert before we leave on tour to Austin. The program will explore the edgier side of contemporary choral repertoire and it will include a special new commissioned work by talented and emerging composer Zachary Wadsworth, as well as Rautavaara's Suite de Lorca. Free and open to the public.

Handel's
Acis and Galatea
To close the season, the Chamber Singers perform Handel's charming opera-serenata, Acis and Galatea. The performance will feature faculty vocal artists Lisa Borik, soprano, and Michael Walsh, baritone, as well as a stylish ensemble of professional instrumentalists and yours truly conducting. Proceeds go to benefit the Music Department Student Scholarship Fund.
